Art Deco Hotel Montana Part II

It always feels good to return to Hotels where it feels like home - places that inspire, where one can look forward to the stay because an exceptional experience is guaranteed.

After my first visit to the Art Deco Hotel Montana in November 2021, it was time to return and document the new rooms they constructed during the winter season.

I couldn't have wished for better days.

The Hotel Montana added a new set of 21 rooms to their (already diversified) portfolio, adding even more value to the experience. The Deluxe room categories were designed by the talented interior designer Ina Rinderknecht.

Montana's description summarises the experience well: "The new room design is a lyrical interpretation of the bohemian lifestyle, combining classic beauty with a touch of modernity. Not artificial, but absolutely fresh, refined and stylish." All with pastel colours, refined with the photography of Soo Burnell, blending with the one-of-a-kind lake view outside.

I had a chance to sleep in the new rooms during my stay, and I have to confess, it was hard to leave. You feel at your best there, and it is impossible not to admire the attention to detail and the stunning view.

At the beginning of my stay, the staff was still wearing covid-conforming masks. However, after a few days, the covid-related sanctions were lifted, and an array of uncovered smiles filled the Hotel.

It was as if the already impeccable service was upgraded even further.

My memories of the 15 Gault Millau Scala Restaurant were great, but the experience of being back was even better. On the menu, you will find the type of food you want to eat slowly to appreciate every bite. The taste, texture, and composition are all carefully created by Chef Johan Breedijk and his team and served with genuine kindness from a service team that second to none.

If you're open and curious enough, you might learn a few new things by interacting with the Service personnel. Smiles, good vibes and impeccable service is guaranteed. It is not only about dining here; It is about a unique experience.

And accompanying the food, you will want to try their house wine - Scalamonte, which has been carefully developed in collaboration with Brunner Weinmanufaktur, from cultivation to composition, located not too far from the Hotel. The Hotel's apprentices accompanied the process and were very closely involved in the elementary steps - adding team spirit to the house wine. It is an exclusive wine that you can only purchase at the Hotel.

All in all, again, an experience to not forget. I look forward to returning to this gem again in June to capture the summer mood, and I thank the team dearly for this lovely and enriching stay.
